Decorate with flowers

Decorating with flowers is one of the easiest ways to update any room. A bouquet of fresh flowers or a bunch of penny gum can be added to almost any room. 

Use lightweight fabrics

As much as the heavy throws and faux fur brought you warmth in the winter, it’s time for those to be packed away and the lightweight cotton or linen throws to be brought out. Crisp neutrals can make your room feel bigger and brighter as well as layering whites and pale shades.

Sometimes keeping plants alive can be tricky. You either have a green thumb or you don’t. If you have some time to spare and want to do something drastic yet beautiful, painting a statement wall can achieve that. You can choose a wall in your kitchen, your bedroom, or your living area and give it a paint. A shade like emerald green will bring a pop of colour while remaining neutral. 

Switch out your pillows

If all your want is an easy update, switch out your scatter cushions. You don’t even have to change their colour, but opt for different textures. They can make your living room feel brand new!

If you love decking out your home with candles, switch out the winter scents for spring-friendly ones like citrus or florals to liven up your home. 

Ditch your old shower curtain

It might sound silly, but something like switching out your shower curtain to a light curtain is a super simple way to create the illusion of updating your entire bathroom. 

Display your prints

All those holiday prints you’ve taken over the years deserve to be displayed. Choose a few of your favourites, have them printed and framed, and choose an area in your home to display them.
