We all love our kitchens and baking in our kitchens. But what happens when you have limited time and need to make something that will wow your guests, and fast? This quick and easy Milk Tart recipe will have everyone wanting seconds!

Note: This recipe contains alcohol and is for over 18s only.

Ingredients:

1 packet tennis biscuits
¼ cup butter, melted (for crust)
1 tin condensed milk
½ cup milk
¾ cup Amarula, Kahlúa or liqueur of your choice (OVER 18s only!)
2 cups warm water
2 tbsp butter, melted (for tart)
4 eggs
6 tbsp cornflour
Pinch of salt
Cinnamon

Recipe

Grease your microwave-safe baking dish.

Crush the biscuits in a plastic bag, using a rolling pin or your fists.

Mix the crushed biscuits with the melted butter for the crusty, feel free to add more melted butter if you feel it needs more, and press into the base of the greased dish. Allow to rest in the fridge while you prepare the rest of the dish.

Using a microwave-safe bowl, mix your choice of liqueur, warm water, melted butter for the tart, eggs, cornflour & salt and mix well.

Microwave on high for 7 minutes.

Remove the bowl and whisk to prevent lumps from forming.

Microwave again on high for 5 minutes.

Remove the bowl and whisk again.

Microwave for the last time on high for 3 minutes.

Remove the bowl and whisk again.

Pour the mixture onto the custard base and allow it to cool. Once cool, add a dusting of cinnamon and allow to chill in the fridge for two hours or overnight.

Slice and serve with a dollop of whipped cream or ice-cream or enjoy as is!
